Cannabis Producers

Cannabis farms are becoming big business, which requires enterprise-level data management. Tracking crops, sending invoices and making predictions are all a part of the day’s work. At least one new company is leading the charge toward industry-specific software: Canix Cannabis Software is a data-entry platform for cannabis companies to do their bookkeeping, inventory and any other product tracking needed to run their business.

Canix launched in 2019 and has since signed on more than 300 customers with 1,000-plus growing facilities and have helped track 2.5 million plants. Last year, the company won TechCrunch’s Startup Battlefield at the Disrupt conference. In a story leading up to the awards, TechCrunch’s Matt Burns explained:

“Growers generally rely on enterprise resource planning platforms to track and forecast their crops, and Canix handles invoicing, costing and reporting while keeping the company compliant. Along with monitoring current inventory, Canix Cannabis Software includes forecasting features. Starting with just plant clones, these prediction features will help growers predict yield 90 days away.”

What software does your cannabis company use? What are your thoughts on the professionalization of the cannabis industry? Have you ever used Canix Cannabis Software?
